Responsibilities
The Group Vertical Director at TikTok is responsible for leading multiple account groups for the Global Business Solutions team in the UK. As a leader on the executive team, this individual guides strategy, coaches and develops individuals and nurtures team culture. A Group Vertical Director is a trusted partner to the C‑Suite in their client’s organisations, and demonstrates equal levels of influence with internal teams. They are comfortable with change and thrive in results-based environments.
- Lead verticalised, solution-based strategy, account planning & pipeline management with data insights to drive business growth.
- Manage, identify, and develop talent in a high performing, diverse team. Create collaborative environments and nurture a culture of employee wellbeing.
- Maintain trusted C‑Suite client relationships to influence investment at scale, apply deep industry expertise and serve as a consultative partner.
- Be part of the UK Leadership Team and collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to drive alignment and efficiency.
- Clarify and validate product needs. Partner with product teams on go-to-market strategy and opportunity identification.
- Represent TikTok on a national stage, at events and in the media. Deliver compelling thought leadership bringing together product understanding and market trends.
- Show optimism in the face of change and lead the team through ambiguity. Guide the team to be grounded, courageous and to aim for the highest.
- Set expectations, prioritise and break down goals for the team. Provide hands‑on support for the team and wider business where needed.
Qualifications
Minimal Qualifications
- Extensive experience working in advertising sales/digital media.
- Significant people and team leadership experience.
- Expert understanding of digital ad products, technologies and industry ecosystem.
- Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding revenue goals.
- Customer service orientation and experience working in a client facing capacity.
- Excellent communication, presentation and analytical skills.
- Performance expertise.
