Job Summary:

In this role,you’llprovideend to endfinancial leadership across Beazley’s strategic change initiatives.You’llwork closely with Strategy, Change, and business stakeholders to ensure costs and benefits are clearly understood, accurately tracked, and reflected inhigh qualityreporting that enables confidentdecision making.
Ultimately withplatforms like Workday Financials and Adaptive Planning, automation andself-serveMI will free you to focus on insight, challenge, and investment appraisal — not mechanics.
This is a role for someone who wants to shape commercial outcomes, influence senior stakeholders, and ensure Beazley makes the right investment choices forlong termperformance.
Key Responsibilities:
This role will provide partnering and independent financialchallengeacross changeprogrammesensuring business value for money & accountability for financial outcomes and benefits.
Business Partnering & Executive Influence:
- Act as a trusted advisor to the Change portfolio, bringing financial insight to support strategic decisions.
- Influencedecision makingearly and hold stakeholders accountable for financial outcomes.
Business Case Appraisal,Prioritisation& Value for Money
- Review andvalidatebusiness cases, ensuring clear benefits, costs,risksandprioritisation.
- Support stakeholders in building strong business cases and securing funding.
- Provide robust financialchallengeand ensure assumptions are documented and trackable.
- Leadcost savingand efficiency initiatives that improve Beazley’s financial cost base.
BenefitsRealisation& Tracking
- Maintain a central baseline of benefits and costs for all change initiatives.
- Support teams to track benefits against business cases and explain variances.
- Ensure corrective actions are agreed andmonitored.
Project Analysis, Reporting, MI & Forecasting
- Analyseexpense trends and deliver clear, actionable insights.
- Buildaccuratemonthly forecasts and highlight risks, pressures, and opportunities.
- Present analysis in concise,executive readyformats with clear narrative.
- Developself-serveMI to shift focus from mechanics tovalue addinsight.
Month End, Accounting &Capitalisation
- Ensuretimelyandaccuratecost recognition and insightfulmonth endcommentary.
- Apply appropriatecapitalisationin line with accounting policy.
- Anticipate variances early andmaintaina “no surprises” approach.
Governance, Risk, Controls & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain a monthly risk and opportunityviewacrossprogrammes.
- Uphold strong financial controls and adherence to policy.
- Drive process improvement initiatives tomoderniseways of working.
Technology / Digital Ways of Working
- Use Copilot, AI,Adaptiveand Workday to automate reporting and reduce manual effort.
- Embedsystemledreporting and reduce reliance on spreadsheets.
Personal Specification:
Essential Criteria
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with portfolio or complex programme experience intechnology enabledchange within Financial Services.
- A track recordof business case appraisal and benefitsrealisation, including post‑implementation reviews.
Month‑end,forecastingandcapitalisationdiscipline with a pragmatic,‘no surprises’mindset.
Whatyou’llbring:
- Able to design visually compelling, executive‑ready presentations that clearly communicate complex financial insights and strategic narratives.
- Strong commercialchallengeand clearrecommendation writingfor senior audiences.
Nice to have:
- Insurance/Lloyd’s familiarity.
- Experience with agile funding or product‑centric operating models.
- Experiencewith Workday/Adaptive and Power BI (or similar).
- Line‑management or matrix leadership of analysts.
