Virtual Desktop Operations Engineer – Citrix / VDI

Location: Canary Wharf, London

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple Citrix XenApp & XenDesktop (VDI) sites and tenants
• Support Citrix Cloud (DaaS, Performance & Security Analytics) and on-prem environments
• Operate and optimise Azure VDI and large-scale VDI/RDP deployments
• Monitor performance, capacity, and availability of Citrix components
• Execute application releases, platform changes, and BAU operations
• Provide L3 incident and problem management, including root cause analysis
• Implement automation and proactive monitoring to improve service reliability
• Support BCM/DR activities and comply with banking security standards
• Mentor L1/L2 teams and maintain operational documentation

Core Skills & Experience

• Strong enterprise experience with Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, StoreFront, Citrix Cloud
• Expertise in VDI performance tuning, capacity planning, and monitoring
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft enterprise desktop OS
• Experience in regulated / banking environments
• Excellent troubleshooting and operational support skills
