Technical Sales Executive – Fastener Industry
Location: West Midlands
Salary: Up to £42,000 + Quarterly Bonus
I’m currently working with a well-established fastener manufacturer based in the West Midlands who is looking to recruit a driven Technical Sales Executive to join their growing team.
This is a technically focused, customer-facing role, working with a defined portfolio of end-user accounts. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a high level of service while identifying opportunities to grow spend within existing customers.
The Role:
- Managing a set list of customer accounts
- Building strong relationships and developing a deep understanding of customer requirements
- Preparing detailed and accurate quotations
- Costing jobs independently and reading/understanding technical drawings
- Responding to technical enquiries promptly and providing an exceptional level of service
- Identifying opportunities to increase customer spend
- Outbound cold calling will be expected as part of the role
- Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions and sales activity
About You:
- Background in technical sales within the fastener industry (essential)
- Previous costing experience beneficial but not essential (training can be provided)
- Proven sales ability with a strong commercial mindset
- Comfortable working in a busy, technical environment
- Strong communication, organisational, and relationship‑building skills
- Proactive, self‑motivated, and a team player
- Salary: Up to £42,000
- Quarterly Bonus
- Working hours: Monday–Thursday: 8:30am – 5:00pm / Friday: 8:30am – 2:30pm
