Equifind are supporting a listed Financial Services firm based in central London by London Bridge, to hire a Senior Finance Business Partner/ Senior Commercial Finance Analyst for a permanent vacancy. The firm is listed but mid sized where you will get to partner with all the C suite and gain that exposure.
The Role
Overall, the role sits within a commercial team of four and is a FP&A and Business Partner mixed position with breath but a strong PnL focus. Seeking someone commercial who enjoys partnering with the ‘C’ suite.
The heavy number crunching to carried out in other teams, for example the customer analytics, product and the credit risk team.
This team consolidates the analytics, reviews and challenges and the partners with the Heads of in the business and the C suite.
The firm is listed, very much in growth mode and has a flat and open culture. The line managers style is autonomous and within the team, they rotate the areas they cover to give everyone full oversight of the whole business.
They are in 3 days a week and based by Bank in the City.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Commercial Finance Analyst you will play a key role in linking finance to the rest of the business. Modelling, insight, analysis and supporting business planning processes are all key elements.
- Business partnering with senior stakeholders throughout the business
- Financial modelling – challenge and analyse risk and product teams
- Forecasting and detailed scenario analysis
- Present findings to senior management, trends, variances and analysis
- Support ad hoc financial analysis and project work, balancing routine reporting duties with flexible, evolving business needs in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
Key Requirements:
- Qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA or CIMA certification, with exposure to financial planning and analysis.
- Strength of PnL
- Strong proficiency in Excel, capable of building, improving, and automating complex financial reports and models.
- Comfortable engaging with multiple stakeholders across the business to explain and discuss financial reports and insights, demonstrating clear communication and business partnering skills.
- Detail-oriented and organised, with the ability to manage routine weekly reporting tasks alongside ad hoc projects in a structured yet flexible manner.
- A proactive, bright, and eager-to-learn mindset, capable of quickly grasping new concepts and adding value through data analysis and interpretation. xwzovoh
