Interim Senior Finance Recruiter – Associate Director
London | Hybrid Working
We’ve partnered with a dynamic, international organisation in their search for a high calibre Assistant Financial Controller. This is a rare opportunity to join a high-performing team where you’ll play a key role in shaping financial control processes and supporting strategic decision-making. The role offers a clear progression path to Financial Controller and exposure to senior stakeholders across the business and is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong, commercially aware finance professional who is looking for a role with real influence, autonomy and progression.
You will play a pivotal role in delivering robust financial control, reporting, and compliance across the UK and wider EMEA region. You’ll take ownership of key accounting areas, lead the UK month-end close, manage key accounting areas, and act as a trusted deputy to the Head of EMEA Financial Control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the UK month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
- Own the UK balance sheet and ensure all reconciliations are completed and reviewed
- Manage inventory accounting and liaise with supply chain and commercial teams
- Support statutory reporting and liaise with external auditors
- Drive improvements in financial controls, processes, and systems
- Partner with Group Finance, Internal Audit, Production, Shared Service, Commercial Finance teams
- Assist with the integration of new systems and process automation initiatives
- Mentor and support a team of 3 their development
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA)
- 2-5 years PQE in a multinational environment
- Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS or UK GAAP)
- Experience in a financial control or audit role within a complex, fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Experience with inventory accounting or supply chain finance (desirable)
- Exposure to international or multi-entity environments
