Title: Financial Controller – Business IT
Location: London
Are you a detail-driven Financial Controller ready to lead a multi-branch division through its next phase of growth and integration? This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, acquisitive tech business as it continues to scale and streamline its Business IT Centre of Excellence.
Following a series of acquisitions, the business is seeking a Financial Controller to lead financial operations across the Business IT arm – partnering closely with regional leaders, producing high-quality reporting, and strengthening controls across a diverse and evolving finance environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the production of timely, accurate management accounts for the Business IT division
- Lead and present month-end close reviews, identifying key performance issues and trends
- Business partner with senior stakeholders to enable actionable insights and informed decisions
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning in collaboration with the Group Finance Director
- Lead a team of transactional and management accountants across multiple UK sites
- Maintain a strong control environment, including cashflow oversight and balance sheet integrity
- Support ERP and finance system standardisation projects across the Business IT network
- Oversee VAT and corporate tax compliance for the division and assist with audit requirements
About You:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or QBE with strong double-entry expertise
- Proven leadership experience within a multi-site or acquisitive organisation
- Exceptional communication and business partnering skills — capable of translating finance to non-finance
- Hands-on, detail-focused and solutions-driven — comfortable rolling up sleeves to get results
- Strong grip on controls, processes, and cashflow management
- Experience with NetSuite is a bonus, but not essential
- Skilled in Excel and PowerPoint; able to produce clear, concise reporting
