The Role

As the Deputy General Manager, you will be the person making things happen across the entire operation. • Operational Excellence: Ensure a visible and involved presence across all areas, coaching your teams daily and ensuring standards never deviate from the best.
  • Commercial Support: Work closely with the GM to execute revenue strategies and sales initiatives while keeping a sharp eye on costs, stock control, and wastage.
  • Strategic Planning: Proactively assess business risks and opportunities—planning for the next shift, the next month, and beyond to stay ahead of the curve.
  • Guest Experience: Champion the guest journey, anticipating needs and resolving any feedback with grace to ensure the brand’s reputation remains top‑class.

  • Industry Insight: Deep knowledge of hotel operations and how to navigate the unique challenges of a premium service destination.
  • Great Communicator: Excellent written and verbal English, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate solutions with both guests and colleagues.
  • Take Ownership: You have a “can-do” attitude and the confidence to act on your own initiative, especially when leading the business in the General Manager’s absence.
  • Attention to Detail: A natural ability to multitask and prioritise, with a focus on delivering excellence in every minor detail of the operation.
