Overall Purpose:

The Site Engineer is responsible for supporting and delivering site-based engineering works while strengthening operational resilience, reducing key-person dependency, and enabling future growth.

The role provides critical support to site activities including installation and commissioning, also contributing to workshop operations when not deployed on site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver site-based engineering works in line with project scope, safety, quality, and schedule requirements.
  • Support installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and rectification activities on customer sites.
  • Liaise with project managers, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure effective delivery outcomes.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues encountered during site works.
  • Work alongside the existing Site Engineer to provide coverage, workload balancing, and continuity.
  • Support documentation, standardisation, and knowledge transfer of site engineering processes.
  • Provide hands-on engineering support within the workshop during non-site periods.
  • Assist with the production, assembly, testing, and improvement of OEM products.
  • Comply with all company, site, and customer safety requirements.
  • Ensure all work meets internal quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across site and workshop operations.

Person Specification:

  • Engineering qualification (Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience in site-based engineering, installation, commissioning, or field service.
  • Strong fault-finding, problem-solving, and hands-on technical capability.
  • Ability to work independently on site and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills and customer-facing experience.
  • High awareness of safety, quality, and compliance requirements.
