Project Manager – Gloucestershire

Location: WSP, UK & Ireland (Gloucestershire County Council)

WSP seeks a Project Manager to lead highways and infrastructure projects for Gloucestershire County Council. You will be based in the client’s office and support a long‑term professional services contract.

Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the project management process, encouraging teams to deliver the right solutions.
  • Prioritise client satisfaction, building and maintaining strong relationships with GCC.
  • Manage resources effectively, including remote resources, to meet fluctuating workloads.
  • Work with clients and design teams to deliver compliant designs on time and within budget, meeting H&S, CDM, QA and technical review requirements.
  • Develop relationships with other WSP teams to utilise additional resources as required.
  • Agree fees and manage the commercial position on projects.
  • Produce project controls reports to meet client and business requirements.
  • Develop, maintain, and implement stakeholder management plans.
  • Ensure invoicing and cash collection is undertaken in accordance with business process and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in the Civils/Highways sector, project management and/or business administration and financial planning.
  • Experience managing a range of project management activities, systems (including ERP) and processes.
  • Strong organisational and excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Construction Design Management 2015 and associated duties.
  • Experience in project/resource management with good financial and commercial awareness.
  • Knowledge of NEC 4 and qualification desirable.
