Atrom Mindcare RTC is seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist in General Adult Psychiatry to join our expanding Adult ADHD Service. The post-holder will play a key role in delivering high‑quality diagnostic assessments, formulation, and management plans for adults presenting with ADHD and related comorbidities. This flexible hybrid role is suitable for a motivated clinician with a strong interest in neurodevelopmental disorders and modern, patient‑centred models of care.

Atrom Mindcare is a Private Holistic Psychiatric Clinic located in Epping, on the border of North East London and Essex. We deliver Adult Psychiatric treatments including Deep TMS, Psychological therapies and Psychiatric Assessments. This role supports our growing Adult ADHD pathway under NHS Right to Choose, delivering evidence‑based care to adults with ADHD.

Working Patterns

Contract: Locum, 12 months. Working pattern: Flexible, home or remote. Pay scheme: Salary depending on experience. Reference number: E0483‑25‑0001. Location: 323 High Street, Epping, Essex, CM164BZ.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive specialist assessments for Adult ADHD, including diagnostic reviews, risk assessment, and formulation.
  • Offer expert clinical opinion for complex cases and contribute to service development and team discussions.
  • Maintain high standards of clinical documentation, including assessment reports, letters, and electronic health records.
  • Ensure safe, ethical practice in accordance with GMC and RC Psych standards.
  • Engage in regular CPD and maintain GMC revalidation requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance patient care pathways.
  • Attend clinical and operational meetings as required (remote).

Experience and QualificationsEssential

  • Demonstrable interest and experience in the assessment and treatment of Adult ADHD.
  • Experience working within NHS at Consultant Grade in General Adult Psychiatry.
  • Excellent communication, clinical judgement, and risk‑management skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly within a hybrid service model.
  • CCT (or within 6 months of obtaining CCT) in General Adult Psychiatry.
  • Full GMC registration with licence to practice.

Desirable

  • Experience working in ADHD specialist services or neurodevelopmental clinics.
  • Familiarity with digital health platforms and remote assessment tools.
  • Experience conducting ASD assessment in adults.
  • Completion of UKAAN Assessment & Treatment of Adult ADHD course or equivalent recognised training.
