An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experiencedPrincipal Planning Consultant to join a growing Sheffield-based team advisingon strategic residential allocations, appeals and Local Plan promotionstrategies.
This consultancy has established itself as a trusted advisorto land promoters and national housebuilders, particularly in navigatingcomplex policy environments and politically sensitive sites.
The Role
You will operate as a senior project lead across multipleresidential and mixed-use schemes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managingcomplex planning applications and strategy development
- Draftingcomprehensive Planning Statements and appeal submissions
- Preparingproofs of evidence and supporting public inquiries
- Promotingsites through the Local Plan process
- Supportingteam workload management and mentoring
This role demands both technical excellence and strongcommercial judgement.

- MRTPIqualified (or extremely close to completion)
- Strongexperience in strategic housing and appeals
- Confidentclient-facing presence
- Strongproject management and commercial awareness
