An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an MRTPI AssociateDirector to join one of the South East’s most successful planningconsultancies.

This role will play a key part in growing the Reading office and strengthening its presence across the Thames Valley. With a strong pipeline of strategic housing projects alongside commercial and employment-led development, the Associate Director will have responsibility for client management, staff leadership and business development.

The Role

This is a senior appointment requiring both technical credibility and commercial leadership.

Responsibilities

• Leading major residential and mixed‑use planning strategies
• Acting as senior advisor to key developer and investor clients
• Driving business development and winning new work
• Managing and mentoring a team of planners
• Financial oversight of projects including profitability and resourcing
• Leading Local Plan examination work and strategic land promotion
• Leading planning appeals, hearings and inquiry preparation
• Supporting recruitment and office growth strategy

About You

• Experience managing staff, budgets and client relationships
• Strong market presence across Berkshire / Thames Valley
• Commercially driven with leadership gravitas
