My Client in Thamesmead is currently looking for a food production/Chef to join their team.
Key Responsibilities and duties
- Ensure all food is prepared as per food preparation requirements
- Ensure food is produced on time & sufficient quantities are available
- Maintain stock levels of all kitchen supplies
- Oversee and supervise all kitchen staff
- Follow the recipe cards
- Take part in NPD
- Ensure wastage is minimised by careful supervision of food preparation methods
- Oversee the ordering and control of stock levels
- Ensure staff are working safely at all times
- Follows the company ’ s H&S, Hygiene and Quality policies
- Always follow the ‘clean as you go ’ procedures
- Checks the quality of the ingredients before using them
- Report any issues to the management team
- Follows company ’ s uniform and hygiene standards at all times
- Operates all the equipment in line with company guidelines
- Use PPE when required
- Assists with the training and coaching of new team members
- Contributes towards achieving the team ’s goals
Additional Responsibilities
Attends training courses / meetings when required
Takes on additional responsibilities as requested by the Management Team
