An innovative space company focused on solving the growing challenge of orbital debris is seeking a driven Business Development Manager to support institutional opportunities from its UK office.

Reporting to the Director of Business Development and Product, you will lead and support institutional bids, secure funding, and contribute to capture management and commercial strategy. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with space-sector bid or sales experience – or a technical space professional looking to transition into a commercial role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and track institutional opportunities (e.g., UK Space Agency, ESA, EU).
  • Lead or support bids from call opening through submission and negotiation.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, competitive proposals.
  • Manage bid finances and partner inputs for consortium submissions.
  • Support customer engagement, account management, and product development activities, particularly in In-Orbit Servicing (IOS).

Essential Experience

  • Strong experience in space-sector bid management or sales.
  • Strong knowledge of UK and European institutional funding landscapes.
  • Experience working with national or European space agencies.
  • Commercially astute, proactive, and highly organised.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of the space ecosystem.
