Job Description:

We are seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to drive day-to-day sales activity across existing and new customers. This is a highly operational, technical sales role focused on winning business, managing customer relationships, and delivering commercial growth within core sectors such as automotive, motorsport, aerospace, and defence.

The role suits someone with a strong electrical engineering background (e.g. wiring harness, power systems) who can translate technical requirements into commercial proposals.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, engage and win new business opportunities across target markets
  • Manage and grow relationships with existing customers
  • Translate technical customer requirements into clear scopes of work and proposals
  • Lead day-to-day sales activity including lead generation and pipeline management
  • Maintain and update CRM system (Capsule) with accurate data and activity
  • Run weekly/bi-weekly sales meetings and report on pipeline progress
  • Support contract negotiations and closing of commercial agreements
  • Represent the business at UK-based meetings, with occasional European travel (e.g. trade shows)

Requirements

  • Proven experience in technical sales/business development
  • Strong technical understanding of electrical systems
  • Background in industries such as automotive/motorsport and high-performance engineering
  • Experience using CRM systems and managing sales pipelines
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, hands‑on environment
  • Strong communication and customer engagement skills
  • Degree (or equivalent) in engineering, science, or related field (preferred)
