A new opportunity for a Civil Design Engineer is available in Derby. As Civil Design Engineer you will be joininga talented team of Chartered, mid-level and graduate engineers in my Client’sCivils Engineering Division.
This role is ideal for a mid-level experienced Civil Engineer (2yrs+) who ishighly motivated andwho is aspiringto be an technically excellent design engineer. My clientcan provide you with a highly supportive and structure environment offering you the perfect platform from which to further progress career wise.
The Role
- Providing high quality concept, preliminary and detailed technical design on projectsrequiring highway and drainage design.
- Carrying out a range of drainage calculations, including QBar, attenuation storage, soakawaysizing, foul loads, pipeline capacities and network analysis for a range of drainageapplications.
- Carrying out a range of adoptable and non-adoptable highway,driveway carparking andfootpath structural pavementdesigns for a range of permeable and non-permeablesurfaces.
- Preparing Developer Enquiries, Environment Agency product requests and LLFA informationrequests, relating to drainage designs, flood risk assessments and drainage strategies.
- Preparing S104, S106 and S185 application forms and associated packages for submissionto the Drainage Authority and Planning Authority.
- Preparing S184, S278 and S38 application forms and associated packages for submission tothe Highway Authority.
- Report writing, e.g. Transport Statements, Travel Plans, Flood Risk Assessments, DrainageStrategy Reports etc.
- Complying with designers duties under the CDM Regulations
Qualifications / Experience
- Minimum 2:1 BSc/BEng in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent
- At least 2 years post qualification experience in Civil and Structural engineering
- Full UK driving license and own transport
