Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and people-focused Regional HR Business Partner to support operational teams for a utilities business based in Northampton. Reporting to the Head of HR, you will act as a trusted advisor to regional leadership teams, delivering a full generalist HR service. This is a true business partnering role, combining strategic input with hands‑on operational HR support.

You will work closely with managers across multiple sites, driving people initiatives that support performance, engagement, and organisational growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with regional managers to deliver HR strategy aligned to business objectives
  • Provide expert advice on employee relations matters (disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance management)
  • Support workforce planning, succession planning, and organisational design
  • Drive employee engagement and culture initiatives
  • Support change management projects and restructures
  • Ensure compliance with UK employment law and company policies
  • Analyse HR metrics to inform decision-making

About You

  • Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally at HR Business Partner level
  • Experience within utilities, engineering, infrastructure, or other operational/field-based environments desirable
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law
  • Confident managing complex employee relations cases
  • Commercially minded with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel regionally as required
