- Developing and supporting production managers and wider teams, building capability through coaching, fair performance management and clear expectations for delivery, ensuring people feel valued, supported and able to grow.
- Embedding a safe and compliant working environment, partnering with engineering teams to improve workstation design, reduce risks and ensure the site meets all legal and company requirements while prioritising colleague wellbeing.
- Planning and scheduling work in the short and long term, ensuring people, equipment and materials are available to meet customer demand and maintain smooth production, with clear communication and consideration for team impact.
- Driving continuous improvement, encouraging new ideas, removing obstacles, reducing waste and using structured problem solving to improve flow and efficiency, while creating an environment where everyone feels heard and involved.
- Working closely with engineering and maintenance teams to reduce downtime, strengthen equipment reliability and ensure processes, procedures and performance standards are consistently followed through supportive, collaborative relationships.
NB. The panel cannot make assumptions when shortlisting therefore please demonstrate your qualifications and experience on your CV relevant to the criteria outlined.

- Performance Management: Sets clear expectations, gives regular, constructive feedback and recognises strong performance. Identifies issues early and supports colleagues with fair, practical actions that enable them to develop and succeed.
- Planning and Organising: Plans work in a logical, structured way so people, resources and priorities remain aligned to daily and long‑term goals. Anticipates challenges, manages competing demands and adjusts plans calmly to maintain safe, reliable operations.
Top Candidates Will Have:
- Safety Driven: Understands that safety underpins strong production performance. Leads by example, reinforces safe behaviours and creates an environment where people feel able to raise concerns.
- Operational Leadership: Provides steady, clear leadership in a fast‑paced production setting. Supports teams, builds trust and keeps the operation aligned to safety, quality, output and cost goals.
