We are working with a well-established secondary school in Bristol/South Glos seeking a committed and reliable Learning Support Assistant to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis.
This is a stable role within a supportive school community that places strong emphasis on inclusion, student wellbeing and high expectations for all learners.

About the Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play an important part in helping students access learning and feel confident in the classroom.
- Supporting students within mainstream lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Providing 1:1 support for students with additional needs
- Assisting pupils with SEND, including autism, ADHD, social, emotional and mental health needs
- Helping to implement individual support plans and behaviour strategies
- Promoting independence, engagement and positive learning behaviours
- Working closely with teaching staff and the SEN team to monitor progress
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday during term time, and is intended as a long-term opportunity for the right candidate.

Candidate Requirements
- Experience supporting young people, ideally within a school or youth setting
- SEN experience or awareness is highly desirable
- A calm, patient and consistent approach
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
- A genuine interest in supporting young people’s development
- Experience is not essential – training and ongoing support will be provided for suitable candidates. This includes access to professional development and Team Teach training.
