Job Description

As an AIT Project Planner, you will join our team in London to support our activities within the Space sector.

You will support Assembly, Integration & Test (AIT) activities within a high-reliability engineering environment. Working closely with production, test engineers, and project managers, you will ensure detailed planning and scheduling of hardware build, integration, and test phases through to delivery.

  • Location: London
  • On Site: Hybrid (on site 4 days a week)
  • Experience Level: Mid to Senior

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed AIT schedules covering assembly, integration, and test activities
  • Plan hardware build sequences, test campaigns, and environmental test slots
  • Coordinate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure schedule alignment
  • Monitor progress against milestones and provide regular reporting to stakeholders
  • Support risk identification related to schedule, resources, and dependencies
  • Manage changes to scope and ensure planning data remains accurate and traceable
  • Work closely with shop floor leads to ensure realistic and achievable plans

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Experience in a planning, scheduling, or technical administration role within engineering or manufacturing
  • Proficiency with MS Project, SAP, Primavera, or equivalent planning tools
  • Experience supporting hardware build or test programmes
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise across engineering and production teams
  • Ability to work independently within a structured environment

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience
  • Experience within aerospace, space, defence, or other safety-critical industries
  • Experience supporting AIT or cleanroom-based programmes
  • Familiarity with environmental testing schedules (thermal, vibration, TVAC)
  • Understanding of configuration control and change management
  • Experience working within space or satellite programmes
