Sales Engineer – Elevate Your Career in Technical SalesThis is a permanent, full‑time role for a manufacturing company supplying the renewable energy market. The basic salary is up to £35k per annum plus commission (OTE £45k) and a company performance‑annual bonus, together with other benefits listed below. Based from the premises in Coventry, you will visit customers throughout the UK and abroad, so a full, clean driving licence is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Revenue Growth: Identify, secure, and close business opportunities to drive year‑on‑year revenue growth.
  • Client Engagement: Develop and maintain long‑term relationships with new and existing clients, providing excellent pre‑ and post‑sales support.
  • Market Research: Conduct research on target clients and follow up on leads to identify new business‑development opportunities.
  • Sales Targets: Work diligently to achieve sales targets, providing technical advice and tailored solutions to meet client needs.
  • Collaboration: Liaise regularly with the commercial team and other departments, ensuring seamless communication and feedback.
  • Technical Expertise: Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and specialised training to client staff as required.
  • Market Awareness: Stay informed about competitors and market trends, providing timely feedback for new product ideas and development.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • B2B Experience: Ideally with a background in technical sales – any knowledge of renewable energy, water, or specification sales would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Team Collaboration: A strong team player who can work effectively with sales, R&D, manufacturing, and logistics departments.
  • Proactive Attitude: A positive, can‑do attitude with a proactive approach to generating new business and managing existing accounts.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication abilities, capable of engaging with ground‑level users, procurement teams, and director‑level personnel.
  • Driving Licence: A valid driving licence and own vehicle are essential; business miles are reimbursed according to HMRC guidelines.
