Evaluate strategic initiatives including new product lines, automation investments, and export expansion.
2. Budgeting & Cost Control
Prepare and oversee annual operating budgets and rolling forecasts.
Monitor food cost percentage, raw material price fluctuations, and yield variances.
Implement cost-control systems for production, labour, logistics, and overhead expenses.
Develop financial dashboards and KPIs for operational transparency.
3. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
Manage cash flow planning and ensure sufficient liquidity for operations.
Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory turnover cycles.
Optimise working capital to reduce waste and improve financial efficiency.
Negotiate credit terms with suppliers and financial institutions.
4. Financial Reporting & Compliance
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements.
Oversee statutory compliance including corporate tax, GST, and audit requirements.
Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities.
Ensure adherence to Singapore accounting standards and corporate governance frameworks.
5. Risk Management & Internal Controls
Develop internal control systems to mitigate operational and financial risks.
Oversee inventory valuation, batch costing, and shrinkage control.
Implement fraud prevention and financial risk monitoring mechanisms.
Conduct regular internal financial audits.
6. Funding & Investor Relations
Support fundraising initiatives including bank financing or investor funding.
Prepare financial models, valuation reports, and business projections.
Engage with investors and financial institutions as required.
Manage grant claims and government funding compliance (if applicable).
7. Leadership & Team Management
Lead and mentor finance, accounting, and administrative teams.
Establish clear performance KPIs and accountability frameworks.
Collaborate closely with operations, procurement, and business development teams to align financial objectives.
