They partner with world‑class technology providers including Allen‑Bradley (by Rockwell Automation), Siemens, and Mitsubishi Electric to design, develop, and deploy high‑performance control systems for complex industrial environments.
As a Software Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and commissioning of PLC‑based control systems. You’ll work on diverse, technically challenging projects from concept through to site acceptance, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust and innovative automation solutions.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop PLC software using Allen‑Bradley (Rockwell), Siemens, and Mitsubishi platforms
- Design and configure HMI/SCADA systems
- Produce functional design specifications and test documentation
- Conduct FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing)
- Commission systems on client sites (UK/International travel may be required)
- Troubleshoot and optimise existing control systems
Experience required
- Proven experience programming PLCs using Allen‑Bradley (Rockwell) (Studio 5000, RSLogix), Siemens (TIA Portal, Step 7), and Mitsubishi (GX Works)
- Experience with industrial communication protocols (EtherNet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, Profibus)
- Strong understanding of control systems, automation architecture, and industrial safety
