Role Responsibilities

• System Management:Monitor and manage AWS-focused systems and infrastructure.
• Platform Operations:Build and maintain a platform for cloud and on-premise application provisioning and operation.
• Configuration and Maintenance:Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, software, and infrastructure tools.
• CI/CD Development:Develop a continuous integration and deployment platform integrated with development tools.
• Developer Experience:Enhance developer experience in cloud infrastructure and application deployment.
• Policy and Guidelines:Develop policies, standards, and guidelines for Infrastructure as Code (IAC) and CI/CD processes.
• Automation:Implement workflow and toolchain improvements for task automation.

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience:Minimum 5 years in a professional Platform Engineering role.
• Cloud Proficiency:Securely deploy and manage AWS applications, with cloud-native tooling and security best practices.
• Scripting Skills:Proficiency in Python.
• Docker Proficiency:Experience with Docker containerisation for software deployment and scalability.
• CI/CD Expertise:Automate software build, test, and deployment pipelines following agile methodologies.
• Terraform Exposure:Beneficial experience with Terraform.
• Observability Tools:Experience with Grafana and Splunk is beneficial, particularly in developing and applying an observability strategy across a large organisation.
