About the Opportunity
Our client, a leading enterprise organization undergoing large-scale digital transformation, is seeking an experienced Application Architect to drive application modernization initiatives with a strong focus on AWS migration.
This is a high-impact contract role supporting complex environments within a multi-supplier ecosystem. You will play a critical role in shaping target-state architecture and guiding modernization strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Lead application modernization initiatives and cloud migration strategies
Design and document reference architectures aligned to AWS best practices
Conduct architecture impact assessments across complex environments
Produce architectural artefacts to support design decisions and governance
Collaborate within a multi-supplier delivery model
Provide technical direction for legacy-to-cloud transitions
Support architectural governance and ensure alignment to enterprise standards
Required Experience
Proven experience leading AWS migration programs
Strong background in application architecture within enterprise environments
Experience working in a multi-vendor / multi-supplier ecosystem
Demonstrated ability to create:
Reference architectures
Architectural decision records
Impact analysis documentation
5–10 years of relevant experience
Minimum 5 years UK residency required
