Job Title: Governance and Portfolio Lead

Duration: 6-12 months
Key ResponsibilitiesGovernance, Communications & Engagement
- Own and manage governance forums, ensuring effective reporting cadence and compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
- Lead both strategic and operational communications across diverse stakeholder groups, ensuring clarity and alignment.
- Promote consistent engagement and visibility across the value stream and supporting functions, fostering a culture of transparency and collaboration.
Portfolio Delivery
- Accountable for end-to-end portfolio delivery management across all change initiatives within the value stream.
- Own status reporting, conduct regular health checks, and drive delivery transparency to enable informed decision-making.
- Ensure all portfolio activities are aligned with strategic priorities and deliver the intended business outcomes.
Stakeholder Management
- Support stakeholders across the value stream, including CIO, business, transformation, and GCIO COO teams.
- Represent the technology CIO and value stream in governance forums (e.g., SteerCo, IPC) and other key stakeholder engagements.
- Engage with sub-value stream stakeholders across technology, business, operations, and transformation to ensure alignment and effective delivery.
- Interface with partner teams and external third parties to drive collaboration and resolve dependencies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in portfolio management, governance, or a related field within a large, complex organisation.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with governance forums, compliance requirements, and reporting processes.
- Knowledge of technology, business operations, and transformation initiatives is highly desirable.
- 12+ years in COO/CAO office, business management, banking operations, or technology management.
- Strong understanding of banking processes (e.g., Payments, Markets, Retail, Treasury).
- Strong financial management, risk & controls, and program management experience.
- Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI/Tableau, and PMO tools (Jira/Clarity). xwzovoh
