Overview
Excellent opportunity for a Quality Engineer for an immediately available contract role working for a market‑leading, international company. The company is a well‑established, highly revered manufacturing company in the Plymouth area with sites across the world, renowned for the quality of its products and for being a leading and progressive employer within the area. Due to growth, they are currently looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join the team.
Role
- PPAP; ensure appropriate controls are in place (e.g. inspection plans, SPC, etc.), work with commodity buyers to find and approve new suppliers, liaise directly with suppliers to overcome problems, conduct supplier audits (both on site and remotely), manage the parts rejection process and supplier visits, maintain customer compliance, and implement root‑cause analysis and preventive action.
- Salary: £38,000.00–£50,000.00 per annum, dependent on experience.
- Benefits: yearly bonus, monthly performance‑related bonus, company pension matched up to 5 %, 3× life insurance, 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays) plus holiday purchasing scheme.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a quality role within manufacturing.
- Experience conducting supplier audits.
- Driving licence (occasional travel involved in the role).
