Shape the future of data and analytics for the world’s largest and most complex financial institutions. As a Specialist Analytics Solution Architect within our Global Financial Services (GFS) organisation, you’ll work with a focused portfolio of strategic accounts across EMEA and APJ u2014 designing transformative cloud-based architectures that address the unique scale, regulatory, and operational demands of tier-one financial services customers.

This is not a high-volume role. You’ll go deep, not wide u2014 building lasting technical relationships with a small number of the most significant financial services organisations in the world. You’ll act as a strategic technical partner, helping these customers reimagine their data infrastructure, modernise analytics platforms, and unlock business value from data at enterprise scale.

You’ll combine deep expertise in data and analytics with an understanding of the financial services landscape to translate complex challenges into elegant, scalable cloud solutions u2014 navigating regulatory requirements, legacy environments, and multi-regional complexity along the way.

Key job responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

– Serve as the trusted technical advisor for analytics and data strategy across a small number of the largest, most complex Global Financial Services accounts in EMEA and APJ

– Design comprehensive cloud-based data and analytics architectures tailored to the unique requirements of tier-one financial institutions u2014 including regulatory compliance, data sovereignty, and operational resilience

– Collaborate closely with account-aligned sales teams, account managers, and broader specialist SA communities to shape and execute long-term technical strategies

– Engage at senior technical and executive levels within customer organisations, translating complex technical concepts into business-aligned recommendations

– Develop reference architectures, best practice guidance, and reusable assets that address common patterns and challenges within global financial services

– Create thought leadership content u2014 including whitepapers, blog posts, presentations, and workshops u2014 that demonstrates expertise in analytics, data management, and cloud modernisation for financial services

– Partner with global specialist SA peers, service teams, and product groups to influence roadmap priorities based on customer needs

– Stay current on emerging trends in data analytics, AI/ML, and financial services technology, and feed insights back into customer engagements and internal communities

Basic Qualifications

– Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent, or experience in a professional field or military

– Experience in IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries

– Experience within specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).

– Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures

– Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients

Preferred Qualifications

– Experience with AWS analytics and data services (e.g. Amazon Redshift, AWS Glue, Amazon EMR, Amazon Athena, Amazon Kinesis, AWS Lake Formation)

– Experience with analytics and visualization tools (e.g. Amazon QuickSight, Tableau, PowerBI, MicroStrategy) connected to real data sources for exploration and presentation

– Experience implementing cloud-based data and analytics solutions in production environments

– Knowledge of modern data architecture patterns such as data mesh, data lakehouse, or event-driven analytics

– Familiarity with common financial services data platforms and vendors (e.g. KDB+, Bloomberg, Snowflake, Databricks) and how they integrate with cloud-native services
