Review Officer (EHCP)
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Review Officer (EHCP) to support the effective delivery of the Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) review process for High‑Cost Learners within our Learner Support provision.
This is a varied and collaborative role where you will coordinate and lead statutory EHCP reviews, ensuring that all processes are completed accurately, efficiently and within strict Local Authority deadlines. You will play a key role in supporting learners with additional needs by ensuring that review documentation, multi‑agency contributions and administrative systems fully meet statutory requirements.
Ideal background and experience
- GCSE English and maths (minimum A–C grade) or equivalent.
- Training in the completion of EHCP reviews or willing to work towards.
- Knowledge of the SEND reforms and EHCP processes or willingness to undertake training.
- Experience of working with learners who experience learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
Day‑to‑day responsibilities
- Coordinating all aspects of the EHCP review and pre‑review process.
- Completing detailed review documentation in line with statutory guidance and deadlines.
- Organising and leading multi‑agency review meetings with parents, carers, learners and partner agencies.
- Gathering and analysing learner data including attendance, ILP reviews and support information to inform outcomes.
- Producing accurate minutes and outcome reports following review meetings.
- Monitoring and meeting Local Authority deadlines for high‑cost learner reviews.
As an individual you will be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk, and will therefore be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
