Electrical Controls Engineer

Overview

Role: Electrical Controls Engineer. Salary: GBP 35,000 – 45,000 per annum (dependent on experience, please advise). Type: Permanent. Location: Near Heywood. This employer operates within engineering and is looking to add an Electrical Controls Engineer to develop as part of their team.

Responsibilities

• Working within the existing multi-disciplinary engineering team
• Being involved in varied Electrical Engineering projects
• Carrying out FAT and SAT activities
• Programming and testing PLCs (Siemens TIA Portal)
• Offering technical support to customers and colleagues when required
• Supporting commissioning activities onsite

Qualifications

• Degree qualification or similar in Electrical Engineering
• Experience programming PLCs such as Siemens TIA Portal
• Knowledge of IET Wiring Regulations
• Confident reading electrical schematics (AutoCAD Electrical)
• Experience troubleshooting industrial networks such as Profinet or Modbus or similar
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to work well individually as well as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
