Aws DevOps Engineer

We are looking to hire an AWS DevOps role for one of our client in London, Manchester, Newcastle location. This is a contract role.

DevOps Engineer – Infrastructure Specialist – AWS DevOps

5 Year UK Residence DevOps required to support HLD + prototyping phase on Move to Cloud program of major Government department Database platform.

MANDATORY 5 YEARS UK RESIDENCY

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD (GitOps) and Helm.
• Develop and optimize infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and related automation tools.
• Support the containerization and migration of legacy batch components into modern Kubernetes environments.
• Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to improve build, deployment, and operational processes.
• Maintain and enhance version control, artifact registries, and pipeline integrations.
• Ensure alignment with AWS best practices for reliability, scalability, and security.

Requirements

Core Skills & Experience

• Strong experience with DevOps practices and automation‑first delivery.
• Hands‑on with GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, Helm or similar CI/CD and GitOps tools.
