Job Description:

We’re partnering with a rapidly growing London-based FCA-regulated firm looking to hire a Compliance Officer to join their second-line team with a strong focus on regulatory, reporting and operational excellence. You’ll be part of a collaborative compliance team that values learning, clear processes, and hands-on exposure to real-world regulatory work.

This role reports directly to the Regulatory Compliance Manager and offers a strong opportunity for someone early in their compliance career to gain hands-on exposure to regulatory monitoring, governance reporting and compliance framework support within a structured environment.

The Role:

You will support the day-to-day operation of the firm’s compliance framework, helping to ensure the business meets its regulatory obligations and internal standards. 4 days a week in the London Office.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Regulatory Compliance Manager in second-line oversight activities
  • Assisting with compliance monitoring and testing in line with the Compliance Monitoring Plan
  • Gathering and maintaining evidence, documenting findings and tracking remediation actions
  • Maintaining compliance registers (breaches, complaints, conflicts of interest)
  • Supporting regulatory submissions and information requests
  • Contributing to management information (MI) and governance reporting
  • Acting as a point of support for first-line teams, escalating queries where appropriate
  • 1–2 years’ experience in compliance, risk, legal or within a regulated financial services environment
  • A basic understanding of UK financial services regulation
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • A genuine interest in developing a long-term career in regulatory compliance
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively under supervision
