With a new engineering hub in Belfast, they’re investing in building core trading systems and infrastructure locally. The Belfast team is focused on developing high-performance, real-time systems to support a major trading platform launch in 2026. The Role We’re looking for a Mid/Senior QA Engineer with 3+ years of automation experience to join the founding Belfast engineering pod. You’ll help deliver high-quality software by building automated test pipelines, integrating QA into CI/CD processes, and ensuring the reliability and performance of real-time systems. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to QA strategy, influence testing best practices, and gain exposure to complex, high-performance trading systems from the ground up. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain automated test suites for back-end services, APIs, and data pipelines Identify and report defects, working closely with developers to resolve issues quickly Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery Support QA strategy and contribute to testing standards and best practices Collaborate with engineers to design testable architectures and identify early failure points Contribute to release management and system validation for production deployments Ideal Candidate Profile 3+ years’ experience in QA or software engineering with a focus on automation Hands-on experience building automated test frameworks in Java, Python, or similar Understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and event-driven architectures Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud environments (AWS preferred) Exposure to financial systems, real-time data processing, or trading platforms is desirable but not essential Essential Criteria Strong experience in automated testing for back-end systems Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills Collaborative mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, engineering-driven environment Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience What’s on Offer: Competitive salary up to £65k plus Bonus Generous benefits package Hybrid working with a modern Belfast office For more information on this opportunity, connect with Neill Ferguson on LinkedIn or submit your CV via the link below.
