Home Manager (Nurse Qualified)
Location: Sunderland
Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Home Manager to lead a well-established residential care service in Sunderland. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident and driven leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of a specialist service supporting adults with mental
health needs and learning difficulties.
About the Role
As Home Manager, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, person-centred care while ensuring full regulatory compliance and strong operational performance. You will lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team, maintaining a positive culture focused on dignity, respect, and outcomes for residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strong, visible leadership to ensure safe and effective care delivery
- Maintain full compliance with CQC standards and regulatory frameworks
- Lead, develop, and support a skilled clinical and care team
- Drive continuous improvement and quality assurance initiatives
- Manage budgets, staffing, and operational performance
- Build strong relationships with families, professionals, and stakeholders
Essential Requirements
- Registered Nurse with a valid NMC PIN (essential)
- Proven experience in a Home Manager or senior leadership role
- Demonstrable background supporting mental health and learning disability services
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and governance
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Passion for delivering outstanding, person-centred care
