About the Home
An established, 7-bed therapeutic children’s home in Bradford, currently rated Outstanding, is seeking an experienced and driven Registered Manager to continue its exceptional standards and lead a high-performing team.
The home supports children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), delivering structured, trauma-informed care in line with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
This is not a turnaround role. This is about maintaining excellence.
The Role
As Registered Manager, you will:
- Hold full responsibility for the day-to-day operational management of the home
- Maintain and develop Outstanding standards in line with Ofsted regulations
- Lead, mentor and develop a stable, experienced staff team
- Ensure high-quality care planning, safeguarding and risk management
- Manage budgets and occupancy levels
- Oversee safer recruitment and staff performance management
- Drive continuous improvement and quality assurance processes
- Liaise with Local Authorities, parents/carers and external professionals
- Ensure robust Regulation 44 & 45 processes are embedded and effective
Essential Requirements – Please Read Carefully
Recent EBD residential experience as a Registered Manager is essential – candidates without this will not be considered. xwzovoh
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Children & Young People’s Residential) – or already enrolled and near completion – is essential.
You must also:
- Have at least 2 years’ experience in a leadership role within a children’s residential setting
- Have strong working knowledge of the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015
- Demonstrate experience managing safeguarding investigations and Ofsted inspections
- Have experience maintaining Good or Outstanding ratings
- Be resilient, child-focused and confident leading high-risk behaviours
