Technology Business Partner – 12 Month FTC

Central London

We are partnering with a leading FTSE-listed UK business to appoint a Technology Business Partner on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded professional to act as the bridge between technology and the wider business, shaping solutions that drive efficiency, innovation and long-term strategic value.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Build strong, trusted relationships across business functions, acting as the key interface between Technology and operational teams.
  • Translate business needs into clear, structured requirement documentation for solution development teams.
  • Collaborate with software development teams to design scalable technology solutions.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and introduce technology enhancements.
  • Participate in IT design reviews to ensure compatibility and interoperability of systems.
  • Develop deep knowledge of business applications and system capabilities.
  • Ensure proposed system features align with user needs and broader business objectives.
  • Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and solution demonstrations.
  • Deliver end‑user training and produce supporting documentation.
  • Work closely with Service Desk and development teams to ensure application support tickets are resolved within SLAs.
  • Facilitate backlog prioritisation sessions with stakeholders.
  • Maintain high professional standards, meeting deadlines and coordinating resources effectively.

Key Skills:

  • Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and principles.
  • Knowledge of system testing and software quality assurance best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical and problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Highly organised, logical and detail-oriented.
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong customer‑service mindset; approachable, patient and collaborative.
  • Ability to synthesise information from multiple sources and translate between high‑level and detailed requirements.
  • Confident prioritising and delivering under pressure.
  • Experience presenting plans, updates and status reports to stakeholders.
  • Comfortable operating in a high‑performing, team‑oriented environment.
