We are working exclusively with a globally recognised media agency that is looking to hire a Senior Finance Analyst to join its commercial finance team.
This is a high-impact role, ideal for a qualified accountant who enjoys working close to the business, influencing decisions, and driving commercial outcomes.
Reporting into the Senior Finance Manager and partnering closely with FP&A and senior stakeholders, the role will focus on analysing performance, improving client profitability, and supporting strategic initiatives across global accounts. This position goes beyond the numbers, requiring strong commercial judgement and confident stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Owning the production and delivery of the monthly business KPI and performance pack, translating data into clear commercial insights and actions
- Leading review sessions with stakeholders to ensure financial performance is understood and acted upon
- Partnering with regional and local markets to support the financial setup and commercial performance of new client wins
- Supporting and consolidating global client fee negotiations, providing analysis to inform pricing and margin decisions
- Delivering client profitability analysis to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for commercial optimisation
- Proactively highlighting issues impacting revenue, margin, cash flow, and cost recovery
- Acting as a key commercial finance contact for regional teams on reporting, contracts, and performance queries
- Supporting contractual and financial reporting requirements, ensuring commercial risks are visible and managed
- Providing insight around FX exposure, payment terms, VAT on international invoicing, and aged debt from a commercial perspective
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience within a Media or Marketing Agency environment
- Strong background in commercial finance or financial analysis
- Confident communicator, able to influence non-finance stakeholders
- Highly analytical with the ability to turn complex data into actionable insight
- Commercially minded with a proactive, problem-solving approach
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-driven environment
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups; modelling experience advantageous)
