Overview
Exciting opportunity for a EV Infrastructure Programme Manager. This is a key role supporting the delivery of Electric Vehicle charging infrastructure funded through the Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (LEVI) programme, primarily focused on residential on‑street charging provision. The successful candidate will play a key role in progressing procurement activities to appoint a Charge Point Operator (CPO) through a joint procurement exercise with East Riding of Yorkshire Council, while also supporting the development of policy and pilot schemes for cross‑pavement charging solutions. The role will involve working closely with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure the successful rollout of EV infrastructure and clear communication with residents and stakeholders. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement with 2 days per week in the office.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the delivery of EV charging infrastructure programmes funded through the LEVI scheme.
- Finalising ITT documentation, specifications and contract documentation for the procurement of a Charge Point Operator (CPO).
- Supporting a joint procurement exercise with East Riding of Yorkshire Council to appoint a CPO.
- Developing policy and processes relating to cross-pavement EV charging solutions.
- Supporting the delivery of pilot schemes and grant‑funded initiatives for residential EV charging infrastructure.
- Working alongside communications and marketing teams to support key messaging and public information.
- Ensuring projects are delivered in line with relevant funding requirements, procurement regulations and local authority policies.
Qualifications
- Delivering or supporting Electric Vehicle charging infrastructure projects.
- Understanding of EV sector terminology, infrastructure delivery models and Charge Point Operator (CPO) arrangements.
- Public sector procurement procedures including ITT preparation and contract documentation.
- Working within or alongside a local authority or public sector organisation.
- Developing infrastructure policies, pilot schemes or grant‑funded programmes.
- Working independently and managing their own workload.
