Overview
We are supporting an innovative fintech organisation building a secure, high-volume, real‑time payment platform used across the UK, USA, Australia, and other global markets.
This is a hands‑on Senior .NET Developer role within the core engineering team. The environment is ideal for practical, delivery‑focused engineers who enjoy writing clean code, designing scalable distributed systems, and solving complex operational challenges within regulated financial services environments.
You’ll be working on mission‑critical payment infrastructure where performance, security, resilience, and accuracy truly matter.
The engineering team is made up of experienced professionals who have previously worked for a number of award‑winning Microsoft Advanced Specialised Partners. This provides a unique opportunity to collaborate and work in synergy with a world‑class team that values technical excellence, continuous improvement, and robust engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain .NET Core 9/10 applications supporting real‑time payment processing
- Design scalable, secure backend architectures for API‑driven financial systems
- Build and integrate systems supporting money transfers, savings functionality, and Mastercard integration
- Work within Azure services ecosystem (primarily Azure SQL; minimal Cosmos DB)
- Automate and improve operational processes to reduce third‑line support overhead
- Contribute to BAU and operational tickets (~15% of role)
- Operate within a Kanban‑based Agile framework (continuous delivery, no rigid sprints)
Required Experience
- Strong C# / .NET Core (9/10) expertise
- Proven background in high‑volume, real‑time payment, banking, or financial services systems
- Experience designing secure, scalable backend platforms
- Experience working in organisations that comply to SOC 2 or ISO 27001 accreditation, with an understanding of delivering solutions that meet regulatory and security standards
- Agile/Kanban experience with continuous delivery mindset
