Finance Director | Full-Time | Hybrid (3-4 days on-site)
A well-established UK consumer business in the retail / e-commerce space is looking for a Finance Director (or Commercial Finance Director) to work closely with the CEO. This role offers the opportunity to help shape the financial and commercial strategy of a recognised product business with strong market presence across the UK.
The Role
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will play a key role in financial oversight, commercial decision-making and improving operational efficiency. You will lead the finance function, support strategic initiatives and ensure strong financial discipline across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee cash flow and liquidity to ensure financial stability
- Review and analyse monthly management accounts, providing insight and recommendations to leadership
- Drive cost optimisation, budgeting and forecasting to improve profitability
- Partner with the CEO on commercial strategy, pricing and growth initiatives
- Manage, develop and support the Finance Manager and wider finance team
- Enhance finance processes, systems and reporting capabilities
- Prepare high-quality financial reports, forecasts and analysis for leadership and the board
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified finance professional (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Experience in a senior finance leadership role
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to influence business decisions
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
- Experience improving processes, systems and financial reporting
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
