Clinical Nurse Specialist - Skin Cancer - Lincolnshire

Dream Medical is currently working with a Dermatology service in North Lincolnshire that currently requires a specialist nurse in skin cancer. Our client is a fast growing service and as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Skin Cancer and Surgery you will be our appointed individual for multi-disciplinary meetings across the region. The role will also include offering services from our spoke sites in the surrounding area and in Hull. As Clinical Nurse Specialist in Skin Cancer and Surgery you will always be working within the parameters of the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and have experience of performing and leading minor surgery. Ideally you will have a deep knowledge of skin cancer.

In this role you will also:

• Support a multidisciplinary dermatology team bringing appropriate clinical services out of the hospital and into the community so patients can be treated closer to home
• Work with Dermatology Consultants, GPwSI's and Specialist Dermatology Nurses to provide access to consultation/treatment/dermatological diagnostics and health education for patients with dermatological problems and skin cancer
• Promote the concept of nurse led services supported by an evidence base for clinical practice
• Develop, coordinate and participate in the ongoing education of dermatology patients and their carers to manage their symptoms and help them to overcome the psychological, social and physical aspects of their condition
• Be fully conversant with the usage of all topical medications, their action, contraindications and guidelines for application
• Act as a resource to provide clinical advice and support to staff within primary and secondary care and to liaise effectively to support continuity of care for patients.
• Will need to have a qualification in performing minor surgery to develop and participate in providing Nurse led Minor Surgery clinics
