We’re looking for a Mid-Level Shopify Developer to join our fully remote team and help bring beautiful, high-converting storefronts to life.
The Role
As a Shopify Developer, you’ll work closely with designers, strategists, and project managers to build, customise, and optimise Shopify stores for a diverse range of clients — including well-known high street brands and fast-growing eCommerce disruptors.
You’ll play a key role in translating design and UX requirements into responsive, high-quality Shopify themes and features — balancing performance, scalability, and clean code standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, customise, and maintain Shopify and Shopify Plus storefronts
- Implement designs from Figma/Adobe XD into responsive Shopify themes
- Develop custom sections, blocks, and Shopify app integrations
- Optimise performance, accessibility, and SEO best practices
- Troubleshoot bugs and resolve technical issues efficiently
- Collaborate with designers, marketers, and strategists to improve UX and conversion
- Contribute to projects for established high street brands, ensuring enterprise-level quality and performance
- Support QA and deployment processes across multiple client projects
- Contribute to internal documentation and development best practices
Required Skills & Experience
- 2–4 years of Shopify development experience
- Strong proficiency in Liquid templating language
- Experience building custom Shopify themes (not just modifying pre-built themes)
- Familiarity with Shopify 2.0 architecture (sections everywhere, JSON templates)
- Experience integrating third-party apps and APIs
- Strong understanding of responsive design principles
- Git/version control experience
- Ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously
Nice to Have
- Experience with Shopify Plus features (Scripts, Functions, B2B)
- Familiarity with headless commerce setups
- Experience with React or Vue
- Knowledge of performance optimisation tools (Lighthouse, GTmetrix)
- Understanding of CRO principles
- Exposure to Klaviyo, GA4, or other eCommerce marketing tools
