Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for NEC project management professionals to join our expanding Real Estate team in Birmingham.
Responsibilities
- Lead project management commissions, taking responsibility for end‑to‑end service delivery.
- Act as the key, day‑to‑day client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met and that projects are delivered to time and cost targets and the appropriate quality standards.
- Handle commissions of varying scale and value, typically up to £40m, but larger for advisory work.
- Provide strategic advice at the project conception stage, including reviewing different approaches to achieve client objectives.
- Establish overall success criteria for the project, including time, cost, technical and performance parameters.
- Plan and manage quality, safety, health and environmental issues.
- Establish effective project governance, processes and systems.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans.
- Advising on procurement of resources.
- Lead and facilitate the cross‑functional project team.
- Apply performance management techniques, including KPI use, to improve project performance.
- Manage the change control process.
- Monitor and advise on project finances.
- Manage flow of project information between team and client through regular meetings and written communications.
- Produce formal project progress reports and other required documentation.
- Interface with the client and other consultants at all project stages.
Qualifications
- Degree qualified in relevant discipline.
- Proven experience managing construction/refurbishment projects, ideally in a consultancy environment.
- Good working knowledge of the NEC4 Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC).
