We’re recruiting Meter Readers across Brighton, Worthing, West Sussex, Redhill and Guildford.
This is a great opportunity for someone reliable, self-motivated and comfortable working independently.
What’s on Offer
- Hourly rate £12.61
- Full-time position – 40 hours per week
- Flexible working between 8am–8pm (Monday–Sunday)

Location Coverage
Brighton (BN1–BN18), Worthing, West Sussex, Redhill (RH10–RH14), Guildford (GU8, GU27–33)
You will be covering local routes within your allocated postcode areas.
The Role – Meter Reader
As a Meter Reader, you will:
- Visit residential and commercial properties
- Collect gas, electricity and water meter readings
- Use a handheld electronic device
- Ensure customers receive accurate bills
- Plan and manage your daily routes
- Work towards weekly performance targets
- Report damaged meters or suspected tampering
This role involves regular walking and outdoor work in all weather conditions.
What We’re Looking For
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Comfortable working independently
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Physically fit due to the nature of the role
- Able to manage workload and meet targets
- Reliable, professional and presentable
- Willing to undergo DBS and screening checks
