Transport Supervisor

Up to £55,000 per annum + monthly bonus
I currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Transport Supervisor to join one of the UK’s leading food wholesalers. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on, organised and personable leader to make a real impact as the company undergo an exciting expansion!
As the Transport Supervisor you will oversee the day-today transport operations ensuring compliance, safety and efficiency. You will manage a team of drivers and oversee fleet maintenance.
This is primarily a night shift role, working Sunday to Friday from 11pm to 6am, with the potential to transition to day shifts as you develop within the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure transport, warehouse, and food safety standards are met
- Manage vehicle fleet, including MOTs, servicing, and temperature control checks
- Oversee driver compliance, checks, and documentation
- Lead training, recruitment, and disciplinary processes for new staff
- Drive continuous improvement in operations
About You:
- Experienced in a fast-moving transport environment
- Strong people management and leadership skills
- Highly organised with excellent problem-solving abilities
- HGV licence is desirable
- Confident, personable, and able to motivate a team
