Polytec are seeking a skilled Production Engineer to join our Saffron Walden based client and help strengthen its production engineering capability. This is a hands-on role with genuine ownership, focused on improving manufacturing efficiency, supporting structured new product introduction and maintaining high standards of quality and process control.
Responsibilities
– Improving manufacturing processes, efficiency and quality– Supporting new product introduction (NPI) into production– Designing and implementing jigs, fixtures and tooling– Producing CAD models and manufacturing drawings (SolidWorks preferred)– Delivering structured continuous improvement initiatives– Supporting equipment reliability and resolving day-to-day production issues
Requirements
– Proven Production Engineering experience within a manufacturing environment– Strong understanding of quality systems– CAD experience (ideally SolidWorks)– Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems– Practical, hands-on engineering capability
