Senior Support Worker – 2 bedded Children’s Residential Home Location: Leigh, Greater Manchester Salary: 27,144 – 36,192 per annum, plus 52 per sleep Hours: Full-time, Permanent

Successful Senior Residential Support Worker candidates can choose between a 40 hour or 48 hour permanent contract.

Brook Street Social Care, in proud partnership with a respected children’s residential care provider in Leigh, Greater Manchester, is recruiting for experienced and dedicated Senior Residential Support Workers to join their compassionate and expanding team.

About the Role:

As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in supporting young people with EBD needs in a safe, children centred and structured environment. You will offer support with a team of residential support workers, ensuring the highest quality of care is consistently delivered while promoting positive outcomes for the children and young people in your care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of care staff
  • Ensure all safeguarding, compliance, and quality standards are met
  • Support the development and implementation of individual care plans
  • Build trusting relationships with children, families, and professionals
  • Be part of the on-call rota and cover shifts when required

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – essential
  • Previous experience in a senior or team leader role within a children’s residential setting
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • A genuine passion for making a difference in young people’s lives
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts
  • Driver with access to own car
