HGV Field Service Engineer (Covering the North of Newcastle area)

This role offers a competitive salary ranging from £45,653.40 to £48,578.40 per annum, dependent on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:– Diagnose and repair faults on vehicle chassis and mounted equipment– Carry out servicing and maintenance to a high standard– Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections and ensure compliance with Department of Transport specifications– Use diagnostic software and tools to identify and resolve issues– Log all work using PDA software and maintain accurate service records
Skills, Experience, and Education:
Communication:– Excellent communication and customer service skills– Ability to clearly explain technical issues to customers
Knowledge/Expertise:– NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance– Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills– Knowledge of vehicle technology systems and compliance standards
Innovation:– Experience with electric vehicles, IRTEC qualification, or HGV Class 2 licence is a bonus– General computer literacy and ability to complete technical documentation
