Service Manager
We are seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead and oversee the operation of the Service Department. The department delivers on-site services worldwide, as well as workshop-based activities at their Norwich facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead the service engineering team, including:
- Work allocation and scheduling
- Certification, security clearance, training, and visa requirements
- Generate and manage service enquiries, quotations, contracts, and invoicing
- Arrange and attend site meetings to support enquiries, active contracts, and business development
- Establish and maintain effective reporting and documentation systems
- Oversee all site tooling and instrumentation, including calibration requirements
- Establish and manage a dedicated service equipment area at the Norwich facility
- Coordinate with other departments to support new equipment projects and service activities
- Grow the service team, with support from the Directors, including recruitment of experienced electromechanical and commissioning engineers
Working Environment
- This position is based in an office environment with occasional travel to client sites as required.
- The role may involve working under pressure to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Required Qualifications and Skills
– Proven experience in a service management, service engineer role or similar position.
– Strong leadership and team management skills.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
– Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
– Relevant qualifications in engineering are preferred
